The first module invites educators to begin with self in a way that honours our relationships to land, to community, to ancestors, and to the stories that live within us. Through an Indigenous, relational lens, participants are gently guided to notice how their lived experiences, emotions, and nervous system states shape the way they enter learning spaces and engage with children, families, and one another. This beginning is not about self-improvement, but about remembering who we are, where we come from, and how we carry ourselves in good relation.Â
Educators will build awareness of their internal responses, notice patterns and triggers and understand the connection between their own regulation and the well-being of the children in their care.Â
This module focuses on noticing, naming and understanding self as the foundation for relational practice
At the end, when you have completed this module you will receive a certificate of completion.
