This module deepens educators’ understanding of neurodiversity as a relational, responsive practice. Rather than focusing only on behaviours as communication, participants are invited to explore how their own intentions, designs, and ways of responding shape the emotional and nervous‑system landscapes of the children they walk alongside. Educators reflect on how environments, routines, and relationships can be created in ways that support children’s regulation in meaningful, sustained, and culturally grounded ways.Â
Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, this module centres relational accountability, respect for diverse ways of being, and the responsibility educators hold in shaping spaces that are predictable, inclusive, and balanced. Participants consider how their presence, choices, and relational stance contribute to the wellbeing of the whole learning community.Â
Educators will explore how to move from moment‑to‑moment reactions into consistent, thoughtful practices that honour children’s identities and rhythms. This includes adapting environments, anticipating needs, and supporting children’s felt safety without requiring them to change who they are. Â
Instead, the emphasis is on creating conditions where every child can belong, thrive, and be met with dignityÂ
At the end, when you have completed this module you will receive a certificate of completion.
