This module supports educators in understanding neurodiversity through an Indigenous lens, beginning with relationships, connection, and how we choose to show up with children. Rather than trying to “fix behaviours,” we explore how children express their needs through their actions, and how our calm presence, curiosity, and co‑regulation help create a sense of safety and belonging.
Educators learn simple, grounded practices to support children whose nervous systems move through the world in different ways-including children who are autistic, have ADHD, FASD, sensory differences, or who mask their needs. The module emphasizes connection over correction, recognizing behaviour as communication, and building trust with every child as a sacred responsibility.
Educators are invited to consider not only how children communicate their needs, but how their own ways of seeing, feeling and responding shape what they notice, interpret and do in these moments.
At the end, when you have completed this module you will receive a certificate of completion.
